We Examine the Media's Role in Shaping American History at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage
The Autry Museum of Western Heritage was a late addition to the field trip lineup. It was a success, though, drawing a fairly large and enthusiastic group. 

 
We examined the role of the mass media in shaping the world-famous image of the American West. The Autry's exhibits provide ample evidence that novelists, advertisers, authors, screenplay writers and others have laid quite a lot of popular myth onto our perceptions of the American West.
