We Experience Video Games Live at the World-Famous Hollywood Bowl

VGL Marquee

The Hollywood Bowl has become a popular Mass Comm 101 field trip.

Demand for our low-cost Bowl tickets was very strong. More than 85 tickets were sold to MC101s and their guests.

Here is the marquee in front of the Bowl. Tonight's attraction is Video Games Live, an innovative multimedia performance that used the Los Angeles Philharmonic to perform music from current and classic video games.

Costume Contest

Before the performance, there was a costume contest where enthusiasts were encouraged to dress as their favorite video game characters.

It was good fun.

 Bowl Museum
The Hollywood Bowl Museum is small, impressive and classy. There are exhibits devoted to the classical and popular acts that have played the Bowl down through the years.
 At Our Seats
MC101s settled into their bench seats and waited for the fun to begin.
 During the Show
The Los Angeles Philharmonic played video game music while scenes from the corresponding game were played on large video screens. At one point, the Goodyear Blimp became part of the show.

On our way out, we were confronted by some genuine Hollywood Bowl merchandise. You could take home your own personal Hollywood Bowl.
And for a paltry fee you could take the rulers of music home with you.

In all, an excellent MC101 field trip.
