The Hollywood Bowl has become a popular Mass Comm 101 field trip.
Demand for our low-cost Bowl tickets was very strong. More than 100 tickets were sold to MC101s and their guests. Here is the view from our seats. |

We had a good turnout, although some of the MC101s had trouble wading through the traffic both outside and inside the Bowl. |

This concert--a salute to the greatest movie scores of
all time--was a sellout.
These early arrivals avoided the worst of the traffic and sampled the good life, Bowl-style. |

A cool feature of this field trip is that a MC101 student can have a Friday night date and get extra credit at the same time. |

Darkness made the lighting of the Bowl's famous shell look quite dramatic. |

On our way out, we were confronted by some genuine Hollywood Bowl merchandise. You could take home your own personal Hollywood Bowl. |

And for a paltry fee you could take the rulers of music home with you.
In all, an excellent MC101 field trip. |
