We Tour Downtown Los Angeles On Foot
After our Los Angeles Times tour, there is always a group that sees some of the sights in L.A.'s historic core. Here are some MC101s on Second Street, across from the Times. The new Disney Concert Hall is in the background.
One of the fun things to see Downtown is the Bridal District along Broadway. We're in one of the wedding chapels. You can be married here quickly and cheaply. And they'll do your income tax too.
A block or two from the Bridal District is the historic Bradbury Building. Erected in 1893, it's still a stunner today.
Our lunch stop was the Grand Central Market, a Downtown fixture since 1917.
After lunch, we climbed Bunker Hill. In other times, we would have taken the historic Angels' Flight Railway, but the little funicular is still out of service following a tragic accident.
Our last stop before our afternoon field trip at the Los Angeles Central Library was the Biltmore Hotel. We went in through the original 1920s lobby and toured some of the ornate ballrooms.

On to the L.A. Central Library.
