Clinton Renews Call on Kid's TV


   Campaigning in California Tuesday, President Clinton called on Hollywood
to make more educational programs for children. Clinton said he was inviting
television executives to the White House to discuss his proposal to air at
least three hours of educational programming per week. An in an appeal to
women voters in a speech at Glendale Community College north of Los Angeles,
Clinton also said Americans should not have to choose between doing well at
work and raising their children. The three-day trip to vote-rich California
was Clinton's 24th to the state since taking office.
