- While the economic model of passive media such as TV is based around killing our free time with commercially-supported entertainment, the world wide web will hopefully evolve into a needs and wants-based medium: countless sites--available on demand--catering to every occupation, hobby, personal situation or lifestyle ... underwritten by nonprofit organizations or advertising.
- Don't get too wrapped up in flashy animation or slick big-time entertainment sites. Focus your students on the content that is available.
- When I see chat rooms with significant content, I'll put chat into the course.
