MC101Field Trip November 30, 2001
We Examine Television Advertising History at the Museum of TV&Radio
Rainy skies cleared long enough for a dry day of field trips to L.A.'s Westside.

Our morning field trip was to the Museum of Television & Radio in Beverly Hills.

We got an excellent turnout for our workshop on the history of television advertising. These are some of the Mass Comm 101 and Social Science 127 students who turned out. We had 46 in all.
After the workshop, we were given a tour of the museum's library of more than 109,000 television and radio shows. Some of the MC101s try out the terminals which list the programs available for viewing or listening.
The field trip ended around noon. At that time some of us went across the street to Johnny Rockets for burgers and classic rock 'n roll over nickel-a-song juke boxes. I think we had fun.
