We had been to the Watercourt atop Bunker Hill just two days earlier
on our Downtown Doubleheader field trips. On this evening, some of us returned for a screening of the 1944
film noir classic Double
Indemnity. The screening was sponsored by Grand Performances, a nonprofit group
that puts on entertainment at the Watercourt throughout the summer. |

Sorry to say that Angels Flight is still out. I
took Metrorail to the Pershing Square station and walked up Bunker Hill.

I can't say that the Watercourt made a great movie
theater, but it was certainly a dramatic setting.
At this point, we were waiting for it to get dark so the screening could begin. |
