We View a Film Noir
Classic Under the Stars
Watercourt Group

We had been to the Watercourt atop Bunker Hill just two days earlier on our Downtown Doubleheader field trips.

On this evening, some of us returned for a screening of the 1944 film noir classic Double Indemnity.

The screening was sponsored by Grand Performances, a nonprofit group that puts on entertainment at the Watercourt throughout the summer.

Sorry to say that Angels Flight is still out. I took Metrorail to the Pershing Square station and walked up Bunker Hill.

I can't say that the Watercourt made a great movie theater, but it was certainly a dramatic setting.

At this point, we were waiting for it to get dark so the screening could begin.
